Using modern means to achieve new efficiency
The internationally positioned special textiles manufacturer Mehler Texnologies GmbH, Hückelhoven, is currently optimizing the organization of the entire value chain step by step. The Advanced Planning and Scheduling software (APS) from SCT Supply Chain Technologies GmbH was initially only intended to reduce stocks. In the meantime, APS is increasingly being used to support and implement a holistic supply chain philosophy.
With around 600 employees in Europe, the USA and the United Arab Emirates, Mehler Texnologies is one of the largest companies in the production and sale of coated fabrics. The products are processed into tarpaulins (truck tarpaulins, tarpaulins, container tarpaulins, etc.), banner materials, membranes for textile construction or sun sails and umbrellas.
Among other things, Mehler Texnologies produced the coated fabric for the Grand Pavilion at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The company, headquartered in Hückelhoven, is an international market leader and produces and sells over 50 million square meters of material every year.
In the past, ever-advancing supply chain optimization has led to a sustained reduction in inventories, reduced scheduling costs and improved delivery readiness.
A supply chain director ensures the continuous optimization of the supply chain, including at the international locations. Sustainable work is now being carried out to optimize the entire value chain.
