Digitalization is already being used frequently in many companies. However, the important area of production planning, in particular detailed planning, is often still “left out”. This article shows how better results can be achieved with less effort.
Digitalization is not an end in itself: there must be a benefit behind it. There is always potential when digital technology is used to automate processes and thus replace manual and cognitive activities. As a result, these processes are not only faster and less time-consuming, but also achieve significantly better quality results – at least for detailed production planning.
